Social life for English speaking tourists and expats in Quito. March 2015.
You are newbie in Quito and would like some info and company. Where to look?
Sign up for InterNations Quito forum. http://www.internations.org/start
You'll find wealth of info there, this forum is polite and civilized, probably because people sign up with their real names. Once per month InterNations ambassadors organize "Get Together" parties, usually in one of the best Quito's bars and restaurants.
Check out South American Explorers Quito Clubhouse. From their website
The Quito Clubhouse is resource, a refuge and residence for travelers and members (You can join SAE once at the clubhouse).
The clubhouse is especially nice, having once been an Ecuadorian home of a large family. The club hosts expat/social events monthly and two day hikes during the month. There are overnight hikes also.
