Renter's review of our La Ronda monthly rental in Quito. November 2012.

Retired couple from Canada

My husband and I stayed in this great condo for the month of October  2012. We have rented apartments all over the world because we much prefer our own space rather than just a hotel room.
Liliya and her taxi driver Luis met us at the airport after a very late flight and took us to our new temporary home.
This condo definitely met all our requirements- 2 bedroom, good bathroom, washer & place to hang clothes to dry, TV with cable and lots of English channels , dependable WiFi , a well equipped kitchen as we eat at home lots and best of all, in a wonderful part of the city- the historic section. The only drawback to some (not us specifically) was the fact that it is a three story climb- no elevators.
We could walk everywhere- lots of pedestrian only streets, lots of shopping, wonderful restaurants, beautiful church squares and a grocery store! We found the area perfectly safe, day or night- but of course, as in all large cities, you must be aware of your surroundings and not be careless! We were also within walking distance of two trolley stops that allowed us easy access to all other parts of the city.
We had been to Ecuador previously but never Quito. During this month we accomplished all on our bucket list with the help of the literature and maps available in the condo- the two decker tour bus, climbing up to the watch tower of the Iglesia Basilica, the gondola at Teliferico, the many modern malls plus Gringolandia for restaurants and yet more shopping.
We would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Quito.
