Social life in Quito for two retired introverts. March 2012.

Quito is a city for introverts!  The big city hustle and bustle doesn't let people casually approach each other in public places and just strike up a conversation. Sure it can happens sometimes, but still people are more dissolved in this town and more anonymous.  We love it!

If we want some social life, in very small doses and without follow ups, we go to the Norteamericano's gatherings. For example, 4th of July 2011 we went to the expat's party at Hosteria Samzara.

Thanksgiving (2011) dinner we had at Quito Hotel Bonanza.

Super Bowl 2012 party was hosted at Quito Hotel Bonanza and of course we couldn't miss it.  Patrick and his wife, Nora (Quito Hotel Bonanza) are very welcoming hosts. We feel very comfortable at their parties.
