Cost of living in Quito, April 2011

Our monthly expenses in Quito, April 2011
Cost of grocery shopping (food for us, Sashka, the dog, and household items)                                       $555
We don't buy dog food for Sashka, we buy (and cook) chicken, beef, and rice for him. He is our golden child.
Going out (twice per week for two of us) $152
Cost of wine/beer                                      $60
Transportation (taxi)                                  $114
Leo's haircut                                              $3
Color, highlights, haircut for me                $52
Medical pedicure                                       $12
Manicure                                                   $3
Going to the movies                                  $14 (four tickets and popcorn)
Once-per-week maid                                 $68
We pay Jimena $15 per day (she works for us Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - cleans and cooks)  and since it is Quito and it takes her hour and a half one way just to get to our place - we pay her $2 for transportation.
to be continued -  Our medical expenses in Quito, March and April 2011.
